Both faces of the oldest blessing. For fifteen centuries the Medal of St. Benedict has guarded Christian homes. This carving presents the complete medal — the saint with his cross and raven on one face, the ancient lettered cross of the blessing on the other — joined above a carved banner that says what it does: Protect This Home.

As a rule of thumb: under 8″ lives on a desk, shelf, or bedside; 8–14″ holds a mantel, credenza, or prayer corner; 16″ and up commands a wall or room. When gifting, the middle size of any piece is the one most often chosen.

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from direct sunlight, radiators, and damp rooms. Once or twice a year, a small amount of natural beeswax polish will deepen the grain.
